I needed to have my Ford F-150 shipped from Medford, Oregon to Alexandria, Virginia. I'll begin by saying this is not an easy route on which to get a vehicle shipped directly. Medford is not on the way of many trucks heading east from more populated areas like northern Oregon, Washington, and California. I originally put the order on dispatch with another broker in mid-January. That broker was unable to find a carrier and simply kept saying she would re-evaluate the rate when I would call to follow up. After searching transport reviews a little more, I contacted AmeriFreight for a quote. I was impressed by the service and the time they took to evaluate the situation with me. I was told that the price I had with the previous broker ($1100) was probably too low and I should raise it to $1200.
About two weeks later AmeriFrieght found a carrier willing to transport my truck for $1370. I agreed to the price, but unfortunately the carrier backed out. AmeriFrieght then upped the offer price with my approval and took the time to call me back and assure me they were working to find a carrier. About a week later, I received a call saying AmeriFreight had found carrier for my F-150 for $1270, which was less than I was expecting to pay at that point. The carrier, Baker Transport, had had a cancellation and was looking for something to pick up in the area. The truck was picked up ahead of schedule that same day. The carrier provided excellent service as well.
AmeriFreight was able to carry though on a difficult route and exceeded my expectations. They took time to follow through, explain the process to me, and update me on status. I'm very satisfied with my service and would use them again.
