I researched many companies to have my convertible shipped from CA to Ohio. The estimates came immediately from low $795 to $1400. Several agent advised me to have a top position on the carrier so any auto fluid from the top cars would not land on my convertible top.
Ali Miller from Amerifreight had very high ratings. I decided the low prices could go up if no carrier would accept the quoted fee. I would pay the higher price after weeks would pass without a carrier. It is a gamble you would have to make taking the lower price.
I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I paid $275 to Ali Miller's company charged when the carrier accepted the fee. The balance $670. was paid to the driver.
