I do not intend to knock AmeriFreight at all, as they were great. From start to finish, Bob and Jorge were very patient and helpful in walking me through the process. They made the paperwork easy.
Unfortunately, the actual carrier (PK Line) that picked up and dropped off my car was mediocre. They did not contact me and I had to reach out to them to discuss the pick up location. When the driver ultimately got to me, he just showed up at my doorstep without any notice, and asked to drive the car to his truck parked 50 miles away. Understandably, he couldn't pick up my car right where I was because of city street restrictions on trucks, but I thought he would have called me to let me know and then set up an alternative location. Instead, I was put in a position to accept or decline his terms on the spot. Luckily, nothing big happened and he got my car to the truck ok.
The delivery was very timely and that driver was awesome in meeting me where I wanted and gave me a lot of heads-up time. There were damages that I noticed to the vehicle after delivery, unfortunately, that I am working through now, but AmeriFreight's AFTA plan is great for taking the stress off in case the carrier's insurance does not cover my damages.
