I purchased a vehicle online and had two choices to make... fly out to the east coast and drive the vehicle back home or hire a transportation company do do it for me. After checking into the costs for one way flights and estimating what costs I'd pay to fill the gas tank and lodging expenses, plus my time away from work, it was an easy decision to make the choice of using a transportation service. Not knowing what to do, I entered my info into a website for services and was blown away at how many emails and phone calls I received the next day wanting me to book with them... I was starting to get nervous because a lot of these offers and quotes were very low to a bit costly and I couldn't understand how there was such a difference in price, that I seriously started to think maybe a one way flight and a two day drive back home wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. I went back to the computer and looked into transportation reviews and filtered by customer service history over 30 days up to the last year and the company that seemed to always be near the top of the list was AmerFreight Car Shipping. I clicked into their website and asked for a quote and was emailed the quote very quickly and contacted by "Bob" to discuss the quote. Bob immediately asked if I've shipped a vehicle in the past or was an experienced shipper... I responded, "First timer, but does it matter?" Here I immediately thought that he was going to possibly up charge me with costs for being a rookie... well, I was wrong... Bob responded that he was going to give me a quick lesson in Shipping 101 - the basics. He then told me exactly what I had already gone through with receiving quotes from others and that some quotes would be really low and some may be high and this is what those quotes mean... I won't get into all those details to save on time, but Bob was very knowledgeable and very easy to talk too. He was not high pressure and calmed my emotions knowing exactly what would happen at each step in the process. I'll admit, I was hoping to pay a little less... but their quote was dead even in between the range I received over the 2 days of researching who to hire. I called Bob back the next day, signed the electronic paperwork and had drivers ready to pick up the vehicle the next day. Once we found the driver, Bob sent me the drivers contact info. and he even called the seller of the vehicle in the other state to supply the same which was verified when I reached out to the seller to give him the "head up" that the vehicle would be shipped soon. The seller told me that he was already contacted and the pick up time was already booked... wow, that's AWESOME!!! I was worry free knowing that everything was already happening... the seller texted me photos of the vehicle being loaded into the truck, btw... I signed up for the cheaper option of a open car carrier, but the driver who picked it up used a closed carrier and when it arrived two days later the truck driver told me my vehicle rode in style for the two days as his trailer will hold 3 vehicles... my vehicle was transported with an Aston Martin and a Maserati. Nice!!! The driver contacted me the day before delivery with an estimated 4 hour window for delivery and then on the day of delivery contacted me 3 hours before that window to say he'd probably arrive possibly 30-45 minutes before the start of that 4 hour window. Now that is service... the vehicle did arrive about 15 minutes earlier and was in perfect condition. Awesome A+++ service and the best part was I had zero worries once I talked with Bob and used AmeriFreight. Thanks again!!!
