Be aware that AmeriFreight is a broker, not a carrier. That allows the pricing to be more competitive, but you're dealing with an additional party. I wanted something for a good price and I wasn't very picky about transport times, so i picked their lowest Economy rate. I was quoted $795 which included a $50 discount, but didn't include AFta gap coverage. By phone I was told I could add AFta coverage for $95 which worked for me. The paperwork I submitted for the order was processed in less than a day. The following day I received notice that a carrier was available for my car that day. Given that the economy rate is a "standby" deal, I was prepared to not have a lot of notice for pick-up. Just be aware of that. I met the carrier a few hours later. The best part was how transparent, well-run, and aboveboard the AmeriFreight was. I wasn't worried I would get ripped off. No hidden fees, a couple of options about how they'll negotiate your final transport rate for you etc. Very well done, guys!
