I originally planned on using a popular competitor to ship my car from SD to CO because of their "almost-too-good-to-be-true" quote. However, after stumbling across this website and reading horror stories from people who waited weeks to get carriers assigned (if ever), that wasn't an option.
So... I contacted AmeriFreight, and they gave me a personalized quote that was about $200 more than the other company's quote. Jorge was very helpful and responsive answering my questions. He explained that AmeriFreight's quote was higher, because the car was being picked up from a rural location and they have to make a competitive offer to guarantee a quick pick-up. Fair enough.
I confirmed my order on Saturday 2/2, expecting my car to arrive in a week. Lo and behold, I get an email two hours later telling me they've assigned a carrier, and my car will be delivered on Tuesday!
True to their promise, my car arrived on Tuesday, safe and sound. The driver, Eric Spain, was very courteous and professional. He also took pictures of the vehicle prior to transport, in case I had any questions about pre-existing dents/blemishes on the vehicle.
From start to finish, my experience with AmeriFreight and Eric Spain was exceptional, considering this was the first time I ever shipped a vehicle!
