After having spent one entire week doing some researches, I finally chose AmeriFreight to ship my Honda CRV from Springfield, MO to LA, CA. I told them that, my first available day for pickup was 01/18. And I requested them to pickup my car on or close to but no late than 01/25, since I've already booked the air ticket on 01/30. My agent was Graham. He told me it would take 7 calendar days to ship the car. The original quote was $840. BTW, Graham was hard to reach due to their high volume I guess. It was on 01/23 that I could not help calling Graham that why I had not heard from them and the latest date for pickup would be 01/25. He then explained that they set the original quote very low and I might need to wait till somebody willing to take this job at that low price. Since I’d already booked the ticket, I’d to compromise that I would be willing to bid up the price and to pay extra $50 or $100 in order to have somebody get it done. Ten minutes later, Graham then called back and said that he found somebody but he would charge me additional $200. I thought, what? I had never allowed him doing so. At this moment, the quote increased to $1,040. But it seemed I’d had no other choice. So, watch out your quote! Anyway, he also told me that the car would be pickup at that day or the next day! And it would only take three days for the shipment. I then got to contact my landlord and begged her to pick up my car upon the early delivery… The driver Gary was a very nice and honest guy. He picked up my car on 01/24 at 7:30 am. He also told me he estimated to deliver on 01/26. And he did. He was a little bit later than promised because another client failed to answer his phone. Lastly, my suggestion is to place the request as early as possible. Also, watch out your quote. That price may not be the final price.
