This was the fourth time I had to ship a vehicle and the first time using Amerifreight. Excellent working with Graham. Did not try to sell me on the lowest price. I had a lot of other estimates in the $805 range to about $1500. His was middle-of-the-road at $995. He did give me a fair idea of how the price is bid to the truck lines and our chances of it being accepted. He was careful in giving me reasonable expectations and recommendations. I went with his price and it was picked up later that day by Azure Express. They came promptly when they said they would two days laterand did a through inspection of the car and picked it up Friday in California. The driver then called on the following Monday saying he would be dropping it off at noon on Wednesday in Green Bay, WI. My only concern with the entire process is that he then phoned on Tuesday saying he would be dropping it off at 10 that night!! Fortunately we were able to get there early to accept the delivery. He got it there and wanted to get out of the area because we had winter storm Draco coming in on Wednesday which was the original delivery date. Now i understand about wanting to get in and out of the area and i was impressed that he got it delivered four days after pickup, but...really?? 10 o'clock? We live about 50 miles north of Green Bay so it made for a longer night than we wanted but the drop off and delivery otherwise went well.
