Dave at Alpine did a great job helping me transport a Lincoln Town Car from Northwest Arkansas to Northern California.

He was the 2nd broker I worked with trying to get the thing moved, as the first company was not able to book a trucker before they had to leave for their vacation (after assuring me they'd be able to). After working with Dave for just a few days, he called me and let me know he was having trouble getting a trucker to take the job, but he went further by actually explaining what he thought the problem was, without spinning the story to save face. He just laid it out that Humboldt County, CA is a difficult place to take a large truck, due to the "long and winding road" they'd have to take to get here. And, our sparse population means the trucker would be unlikely to be able to pick up any other vehicles around here after dropping mine off, so most truckers would shy away from taking the job.

Transport Reviews seems to be cutting off the last 2 paragraphs of my review, so I'll cut to the chase:

I like the way Dave at Alpine was always quick to answer the phone and to give me updates, and how he was really frank about the whole process. He didn't jerk me around by making steep promises or offering an impossibly low quote (some of the quotes I got from other companies were under $800, which would have NEVER been enough to entice a trucker to take the job, and thus would have wasted a lot of my time and delayed the transport).

As someone who did a lot of research on this industry before choosing a broker, let me save you that research time and say JUST GO WITH ALPINE!
