Shop around - these guys are terrible

First of all, this company IS NOT ALPINE TRANSPORTATION, which is located in Ia and reviewed favorably on this website. Stupid me.... I read the reviews for Alpine Transportation and called Alpine Transporters in Utah.
These guys will take your money, turn the job over to a carrier, and you will never hear from them again. They will not update the status of your vehicle transport, IF they even answer the phone.
My car was collected in Texas, and slated for delivery 3 days later. After 6 days, I had no idea where the car was, and could not get a response from anyone at Alpine as to the car's whereabouts.
Pretty worrysome if you are transporting a 1963 classic car in great shape.
Finally, the carrier called. The guy couldn't speak english very well. I went to get the car, and after many phone calls trying to decipher directions, the carrier was found. The car was absolutley filthy, having been covered with a fine coating of diesel oil or some petroleum based product that had come from the truck during transport. The entire side of truck and carrier were coated in a similiar material.
I got the car home, but it took rubbing compound to clean the stains off the paint.

Ebay should be ashamed for allowing these jokers to advertise on their web.
