I called to have a car transported from California to Texas. I told Jessica what day I wanted it picked up and she assured me that was no problem. It would be picked up within three days of the target date. The total price was to be $545 with a $200 deposit. On the 5th day there was still no driver scheduled to pick up the car.
I called to ask about cancelling the order because they were so far behind and I found another company called Elite Auto Shipping that could pick it up the next day. I was told the deposit would be refunded. Three days later I received a call from Allegiance asking if I still wanted to cancel the order because they now had a driver for the car. I told her I already had another company transporting the car and that I did want to cancel the order.
A day or two later I receive an e mail stating that my deposit was non refundable.
In a nut shell, they will tell you what you want to hear to get your deposit. Once they have your deposit, its gone. The contract you sign will be interpreted differently when you point out why you should have at least some of your deposit coming back.
I will admit they were all very friendly. If you are in no hurry and dont care how long it takes to get car regardless of when they say it will shipped, you may give them a shot. But you can surely find a more honest company in a comparable price range with a little searching.
