This customer had chosen not to pay extra for a guaranteed pickup. He instead, hoped that we would be able to have a trucker in Kansas on the day he was making the car available and also leaving. We informed him that we typically need a 2 to 4 business day window to have the car picked up, but that we would do our best to get a trucker on the date he requested. It even states in our contract that we don't guarantee dates, unless they pay extra to have a local flat bed pick it up on the chosen date.
The driver did communicate with him that his original pickup estimate of the 14th was off by a day or so. Denny became enraged and called back to yell and curse at us. I informed him that sometimes delays happen in this industry, but he continued to insist that we promised him a pickup on the 14th. I told him that he had not paid for specific pickup and therefore it was not guaranteed.
Once the vehicle was loaded on the truck, the driver made it to Rochester in just 5 days.
This customer’s review of us, is skewed, if not a lie of how things actually happened.
