I am a traveling nurse and was about to start a temporary job assignment in California so I contacted Air Land and Sea. Their real name should be LAND, LIERS and Grime!
They quoted me one price for pickup from new york but changed the pick up time without telling me. Then my friend in Los Angeles was waiting for the car for me and the company told me I owed them another 170 dollars or I would have to pay for redelivery and storage fees. They gave me a run around regarding what these fees were for. "Read your contract" was their answer! I paid the fees with the intent of fighting it out with my credit card company since I didn't want this fraudulent transport service to have possession of my car any longer than needed.
When I arrived in LA, I was greeted by my very expensive Mercedes Benz COVERED in engine oil outside and smeared with engine grease inside on the carpet, interior leather and mind you, my interior is BEIGE. I spent so much money getting it cleaned because it was so grimy it left stains on my clothes!
Now I am STILL trying to recoup monies for "expedited fees" I was charged when I didn't have an expedited pick up! I read the contract and the only thing they could charge me in addition to the original quote was for fuel...which I paid...there was no expedited pick up AND who was going to reimburse me for the auto detailing just to make the car driveable? I thought cars that leaked oil were not transported on top of brand new cars!!!!!
My credit card company called them and they gave the rep the same run around they gave me when I explained there was no expedited pick up as per their contract's definition of an expedited pick up.
This company is a joke, their employees are ignorant and I am so ashamed of myself for not realizing this by reading the other comments BEFORE I shipped.
Do yourself a favor...........STAY CLEAR!!!!
