I selected Agape to transport my husbands 1978 1/2 Ford F150 Super Cab Long Bed from NH to AL based on price. Having made the selection on May 13th and filling out the paperwork with Jackie who was very nice we settled in to wait. Wait as I said since we know that ( way upstate NH) is not an extremely frequented run. We were not in a big rush this is not a vehicle we use for transportation and I selected the Rock Bottom rate.
That being said I had a couple of checking in's with you from Jackie but my husband was finally getting antsy for his "baby" and after the first available ship date of May 25th came and went and went and went I called to find out what the problem was? No problem just no carrier in the area. Now while I know it isn't the busiest, there is traffic up there. Jackie stated I could cancel but I said I would see if my husband wanted to , I didn't really want to wait for a refund then have to start all over with another company so I just left it alone. Finally I recieved a call from Jeremy on June 21st stating there was a truck in the area and could pick up the truck .... BUT ... it was going to cost an extra $150. Hmmm I thought we signed an agreement with the total price of $780.00, Remeber this was just after the oil spill started and for some reason at least here in the south oil prices had gone DOWN. Why would I need to pay more. Finally my husband and I decided we would go ahead and do it after Jeremy agreed to refund 50 % of the additional cost out of their fees. Still do not feel it should have been any extra since we waited so long. So Jeremy calls me to get directions to the pick up location and after some miscommunication I find the driver is actually already loading the Pickup onto his truck .. Great He will be there on Thursday 6/24, I was having surgery that day so had arranged to have a "house sitter " stay and pay the driver when he arrived. Well I got home from surgery -no delivery Thursay and no phone call. I called when we had not heard any word on Friday afternoon and discovered " the driver had truck problems and so went on home to Georgia instead of delivering your truck " The driver did finally arrive on Saturday 6/26 in good shape, the driver was nice but overall feeling overcharged, ignored and am not sure I would be able to recommend Agape or the actual transport company very highly. 40 + days after making the arrangements is a fairly long time to wait . I might use them again if needed but I don't think I would ever agree to pay extra agian. Neither Agape nor the transport company provided me with any special or extra service and we had a signed agreement.
