These Guys are Thieves if You Ask Me

After being pestered by them after submitting a generic "get a quote on line from one source and several quotes came" site I decided to answer the dozen or so emails from Advanced (aka VIP) and talked with Barry who seemed to set my senses off as a "we'll take care of it" promises kind of guy although my senses told me different. I did allow him to talk me into investigating the times by checking on driver availability and even provided my credit card for the $200 deposit CONTINGENT on the fact that he said I would NOT be charged until I reviewed a contract he would send over and assigned a driver. To date I have not received either but have been charged. The same day I contacted him I used this site to find a better resource that was more dependable and sent an email to Barry Pollack (and copied myself for records) to cancel any action or effort he was pursuing for me and cancel the entire effort. I course I never heard back from them until today when I received a call telling me the driver was at the dealership to pick-up the car but no one knew anything about it... The car was actually not at that location thankfully but they tried to find out where it was to, in my opinion, steal it. Thankfully the people on the sending side were keen to scam artists and would not give them the address as this should have been something that I arranged and any legitimate company would know if they were in fact legitimate. Thankfully we avoided having these crooks get my vehicle or I feel I would have never seen it again! I recommend that you RUN, don' t walk, away from these clowns.

Forgot to mention, I also received a RUDE phone call from another person with them telling me all sorts of nasty things as to why "I have to ship with them". I told them there was no chance of that and that I was contacting my credit card issuer to submit a fraudulent charge complaint against them. I am also contacting the appropriate law enforcement agency and the BBB about them. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

first of all where this customer gets his information that Vip is the same as advance I dont know. As to his shipment he called and gave the order to our salesmen as well as a credit card to secure the spot on the truck. When we sent the truck that was designated the dealer indicated that the car was not there. We proceeded to call the customer [David Goodman] he gave us some fugazy excuse that he cancelled the order, this was not true, since we did not receive an email or telephone call. As far as calling people names and making accusations, I think that he should know what he is talking about. there was no fraudulent charge, by booking the internet sale he authorized the deposit or charge. This customer should be aware that for his slanderous remarks could be sued and probably will. No one tried to steal from as shown by our effort to try and pickup the car, the only thief is this customer. Letter sent to customer: Advance Logistics Jericho, N.Y. 01/18/2008 Mr. Goodman: Re: shipment of your car [Porsche Cayenne] It has come to our attention that you have posted a nasty review on “Autotransportreviews.com”. It seems that your spin on our encounter is totally Different from ours and deserves a rebuttal to the max. No one tried to steal your vehicle or take your money as you claim. First of all You requested our services and we in turn tried to accommodate you. After You placed your order with us on line we secured the services of Family Motors and licensed and insured motor carrier to transport your vehicle and pick it up at the dealership you requested. At no time did you tell us to cancel your order nor call and say no paperwork was provided to you even though all our paper work is listed on line and could even be filled out directly there. As far as Barry Pollack is concerned, this gentleman is an outside sales representative and works for various companies of which we have no affiliation other than to be In the same industry as auto transport brokers. The viciousness of your attack on my company was totally unwarranted other than to Elicit the return of your deposit which by the terms and conditions is non refundable when a trucker is secured (which it was). We refunded your deposit I’m sure you can rest much easier now. It is customers like you who make this business frustrating by going around booking orders with more than one company and finally letting the one who shows up first or finally comes up with the cheapest price get the vehicle and telling the other companies who worked on your order to “go to fly a kite”, costing them time and money and leaving a trucker one less car for his load, costing him money. Thank you for not going with my company its people like you who I would prefer not ever doing business with. Very truly yours, F Fishman, President
