I shipped an '02 VW Golf from Solomons, MD to Summerlin, Las Vegas in the first half of November. AAAAnytime's price was comparable to most others, but they offered door to door pick-up by the driver who made the cross-country journey. This meant that the car did not have to wait in a terminal and also that we were able to pack the back of the car with a few things that we needed to send out west. This was a huge help in dealing with a move as I was able to put a computer monitor (wrapped) in the back of the car along with a few smaller items that are so expensive to move.

The driver picked up at the early end of the pick-up window without having to nag the dispatcher for a timing update. Most auto transport companies offer door to door service (often at extra expense) but you need to be realistic about access. The truckers drive big tractor-trailor rigs and need a large parking lot. We drove about 20 minutes to meet the truck to deliver the car. This is not a complaint about AAAAnytime. This has happened to me everytime I have shipped a vehicle (4 times.) As the customer, you just need to be prepared. The driver will help you ferry the car back and forth if you need it. AAAAnytime only does door to door, single driver transport. It makes a big difference.

The driver originally thought he'd be out in Las Vegas 4 days after the pick-up, so I scurried a bit unnecessarily, but it wasn't a problem. It ended up taking about a week. The driver was able to deliver the car within walking distance of my home (Las Vegas has wide streets), so pick up in LV was very easy.
