Hold on to your wallet, because when Gerry Kaplan's lips are moving -- he's lying. Which is why a San Diego Superior Court Judge gave me a Jugdement on 9/16/05 against this scum for everything I asked for (case #SC164693).
Like the other review here, he lowballs the quote to get the business. He then makes an unrealistic claim of when the car can be picked up -- 48 hours in my case. I waited three weeks and spoke to his friendly trucker who perpetually had 'break downs' or "would be there tomorrow". Finally I threw in the towel and got someone good for an extra $50.
His firm that was originally a corporation is legally desolved according the California Secretary of State web site. A second variation is also defunct. But he keeps relisting it locally with a slight variation of the name and keeps the same web site and 877# claiming he's been around since 1983.
San Diego County court records show that he or his companies have been sued numerous times. As of today I'm still trying to collect.
