Irresponsible, unprofessional and rude

I transported my camry with them last July 2004 because their price was relatively cheaper and I did not have much time to scout around for their quality of service. That was a grave mistake. When I collected my car at their terminal in NJ, the rear of my car was damaged with a big dent and shattered lamps. I understand, although very disappointed, that damages can happen and was not too worried because it was supposed to be covered by them. The worst thing was the way they handled it. The people at the terminal showed me the bill of laden with the damage caused by them and signature of the driver. They also gave me a copy of it. However, they cheated by NOT filling out anything on the original that I signed for receipt!! I trusted them and signed it but did not look on the original as I have seen it on the other copy. When I filed the claim, they refused to take responsibility because my bill (orirginal) didn't have the damaged reported. Imagine you get cheated on your very own property like that!

On top of that, the person at the claim dept. was very rude and unprofessional at best. He spoke with a completely different tone than those at the sales dept (may be that's what he's paid to do). He was outright rude and even spoke in a threatening tone at times to hang up on me. Mind you, I'm just trying to claim the damage they did and as they said they'll be responsible for! I had to finally claim the damage with my own insurance. I even considered sueing them, not because of money but out of bitterness, but my attorney advised me to reconsider as I did not have strong legal proof on paper that they caused the damage.

I'm now about to ship my car back to CA as we are moving back after a job assignment. I've learnt my lessons and will be more careful with who ships my car this time. I'm writing this review now because I'm looking into shipping companies again and do not want others to suffer like me at the hands of these unscrupulous and pittiful defrauders who have to make a living in a business like this.
