I hired A1 Auto Transport to move two cars from California to Florida. My wife's car arrived with an exploded radiator and destroyed engine. I didn't sign for the car. There's a trail of oil from where the car carrier was into my driveway. I filed a claim for the damages with A-1 Auto Transport. Their Claims Administrator, Jane Smith, replied that the company doesn't cover undercarriage damage. Only we aren't claim undercarriage damage.
I wrote back twice more. Jane responded again by saying that they have been very fair, but still has not given any logical reason for the damage or not satisfying this claim, and has not answered what happen to the car.
Questions like: Why was this car being driven away from the car carrier? Where was the driver going with car? Why did the driver continue to drive the car until the engine was completely destroyed? remain unanswered by the company.
The financial damages so far are around $4500 and still climbing.
Were my cars really insured? I wonder.
NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY. NOT FOR ANY REASON.
This claim is from August 2003. I have been trying to get them to handles this since that time.
