I received a quote for $995 over the phone from Selwyn. I said this should be fine and he said he would send me a contract. He asked for my credit card info, which i mistakenly gave him, and waited for the contract. When i received the contract, the price was $1024.85 if I did not pay with cash, certified check or wire transfer. FIRST RED FLAG! I proceded to read the contract and it started talking about damage. It said they only have $8,000 in coverage and there is a $500 deductable. I continued to read the there were several things that caught my attention. The contract said they would not pay for any damage to the interior of the car including the stereo, entertainmnent system or navigation system. It also said they would not be responsable for "damage to the wheels, tires and rims including the loss thereof". It goes on to read they will not cover loss or damage to license plates and accessories or windshields and windows "for whatever reason"! I quit reading at this point and called Selwyn and asked him about these specifics. He said it was a standard contract and they it was Matson's agreement, not A-A auto transporter's. I then asked him about the $500 deductable and he said that is their policy. I said "you can do anything to my car and the first $500 is my responsability? He said yes! I had to laugh at this point and basically told Selwyn i would not be working with them. OH, they also wanted all of the money up front too! I ran away and will not look back. I am just glad i read the contract and looked at this site. This company has a A+ BBB rating for some reason. Thanks to this site for confirming my fears!
