This was a first time experience for me. Forget about the online estimates because they are usually not accurate. Read the reviews and, based on the positives, call directly to get an estimate. That's the only thing I would have done differently.
Eric was very up front and honest in explaining how everything works, the costs and time frames. I never realized that there was as much involved in coordinating pickups, drop-offs and routes; especially important in light of the worsening fuel costs. This on top of trying to make a profit for himself and the transporter, and while trying to keep the costs competitive and the time frame within a reasonable window.
The transporter was Accurate Auto Carriers and the driver was very good with communication and setting up a time to deliver. Eric suggested I use the enclosed carrier and I was glad I did. My little Olds convertible arrive safe and sound about 5 days from pickup. I would definitely use 1st Call Auto Haul again and would recommend them to anyone.
